Our raw material
We value sustainability
Our wood comes exclusively from local forests. we source 90% of our round timber from within a radius of approx. 60 km. This keeps the necessary transportation costs low and does not unnecessarily increase the CO2 footprint of our end products. We value wood from sustainable forest management - our PEFC certification is proof of this.

What we buy
- Spruce/fir logs (individual pines included)
- Minimum top dimension: 17cm with bark - max. stick dimension 65cm with bark
- Lengths: 10m-19m plus allowance (1%), lengths in whole meters, no second lengths
- Strength classes: (L1b) L2a-L4a (L4b) Measuring number 40,-0-47,0
- Quality: B, C, (D)
- Quality: normal and good quality -> below-average lengths and qualities receive a discount
- Grading: The framework agreement for the raw wood trade applies (see also under Downloads) "RVR"
- Provision: free forest road, in bark
- Acceptance: in the forest
- Pile size: min. 15m
